In 1886, Tom McLean and his partner, Tyrone Sandoe, robbed a bank in the small town of Buffalo, Wyoming Territory. The robbery would precipitate one of the most determined manhunts in Wyoming history.
McLean and Sandoe were forced, for safety, to join with a band of cattle thieves to make their way to the Montana border. However, McLean had been forced to kill an old man in fleeing Buffalo, and Sheriff Van Bennett had no intention of resting until McLean was captured or dead.
The story tells the tale of friendships real and make-believe, of partners, lovers, and justice in the Old West.
